At Woodentops we have staff that have specialised in certain areas in order to give each child an individualised experience of preschool, supporting them throughout their early years education. So giving the children a fantastic start to their education.
Karen, our Senior Manager, has a level 3 in Communication, Speech and Language (Oct 2015) and also runs Lift off to Language small group sessions for all the children. She is also our Communication and Language Coordinator and has a wealth of knowledge using the support from the Speech and Language Team from Central Beds. Karen is our mentor for Brogan, our level 3 apprentice.
Sue, our Junior Manager, is our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator. She has vast amount of experience in dealing with the many different forms of abilities children present with. She has recently done her Autism course and works closely with Karen Wilson and Erna Snyman, from the Early Years Support Team.
Jackie is our Designated Safeguarding Officer, having attended the training. She is also our Looked After Child Coordinator and RELAY contact. She has Early Years Professional Status.
Kathryn is an Early Years Teacher and undertook the Forest School training in the Summer 2015. Kathryn is planning out forest school work for our children to take part in.
Michelle is our Behaviour Manager and has undertaken training to support her, us and the children in how to manage their behaviour.
Danielle is our one to one specialist. She works closely with families to help them support their children in their learning. She has attended Autism workshops to support the children within our setting.
